Please come to the Warwick Historical Society’s (WHS) second Hands-on-History workshop, “Improving Homesteading and Living Through Permaculture” on Wednesday, April 20 at 7 pm at the A.W. Buckbee Center, 2 Colonial Avenue, Warwick.
The evening will include a discussion of how to better secure access to healthy supplies of the things you need to survive – food, water, shelter, fuel – while cutting costs and improving your overall life satisfaction through permaculture. Permaculture is an approach to land management that uses whole-systems thinking, applying principles including long-range planning and resilience and utilizing agriculture systems modeled from natural ecosystems. This program is being presented by Christopher Harrison P.E., principal of Harrison Regen, a unique design firm that integrates the landscape and built environment by consciously mimicking natural patterns and principles while meeting human needs.
Hands-on-History is a living history workshop series presented in partnership with the Village of Warwick. This workshop series is free to attend and family-friendly. Reservations are recommended, walk-ins permitted as space permits. Please visit www.warwickhistory.org or call 845-986-3236 for more information and to reserve a seat.
