July Fireworks on Greenwood Lake; Saturday, July 6, 2024 at dusk!
I’m new to the area and would like to view these fireworks
What would be the best time to show up and do I need to bring proof of where I live?
I haven’t changed my driver’s license as of yet that how new I am lol
Hi Elyce, this event is NOT restricted to GWL residents, so not to worry! Get there around 8 pm to ensure that you get a place to sit (bring a chair or blanket). Thank you!
On another website it says restricted for Warwick residents only. We live in goshen – it is ok to attend?
My mother has hard time walking – is there parking close by?
Not restricted to Warwick/Greenwood Lake residents (as is the case with Beach passes). Fireworks event is open to everyone.
On Jersey Ave., where would be the best area to park and then photograph the fireworks from?
Just passed The Breezy restaurant, there is a clearing on the lakefront, where no houses have been built. Near that point you can park during the fireworks, on the right side of Jersey, heading south, toward NJ.
As a resident who lives on the lake I can watch the fireworks from my home. Are they going off on a barge like last year, or do I have to see them on the beach
On a barge, like previous years, Joy.
Are dogs allowed? I’m visiting friends from far away but have to bring my dog. He’s tame.
Sorry, but dogs are NOT allowed. You will not be allowed to bring your dog into Waterfront Park.
Is there a good place for non-residents to hear the music and see the fireworks?
TJ, the event is open to everyone. It’s only the beach passes which are restricted to Town of Warwick residents. So, after 6PM tomorrow (July 4) you can enter Waterfront Park with a chair or blanket, and enjoy the event, Music starts around 7PM; fireworks when it gets dark, around 9:15PM.
TJ,
Best place is Waterfront Park, but parking near there will trap you after the fireworks are over. Better to park in rear of Holy Rosary Church (off Windermere Ave.) or on Church St., near village Hall (which is a longer walk), but you’ll have more options to exit. Try to be patient after the event; the longer you delay, the less traffic you’ll face!
We are renting a place nearby. Where is a good place to park?
We are renting a place nearby. Where is a good place to park? What time does the parade start?
Parade starts at 11AM. Get there around 10:30AM and you should be able to park in the CVS lot or on one of the nearby side streets off Windermere Ave. Regarding parking for the fireworks, it will be a bit of a log jam after the fireworks are over, so getting out will be kind of a nightmare. Try parking in the rear of the Church, Holy Rosary, on Windermere Ave. (it’s a shorter walk than parking on Church St., near Village Hall). Otherwise, park on Church St., near Village Hall, but you’ll have to walk about 1/4 mile, rather than get trapped near Waterfront Park.
Are boats allowed on the lake during the fireworks display?
Thank you!
Yes, Rich, but boats are restricted in certain areas that are associated with the fireworks barges.
