Phyllis Lehman, an Art Exhibit

Gallery Hours:  Saturdays and Sundays, 1-4 pm
The Amity Gallery is pleased to present: Phyllis Lehman, an Art Exhibit, October 1 – 30, 2022.  An opening reception will be held on Saturday, October 1, from 5-7 pm.
The exhibit is a selection of works from a much larger collection representing 60 years of the painting and drawing of models, friends, family and landscapes near and far.  The work has been noted for its exuberant color and whimsical line.
Lehman is a painter, an energy therapist and a retired teacher.  The confluence of her energy work and her art work gave her the realization that she was “painting energy”, not light as do the impressionists, but energy as the means and the subject.
A painting major at the University of Michigan and a student of drawing and lithography with David Ben Shaul in Jerusalem.  Lehman is a graduate of, and former teacher at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing.  She lives in Warwick, NY and has exhibited in New York City, Mississippi, Michigan, Florida, Mexico, Israel, and locally.
