Vernon Horseshoe League planning new season

March 2016: Advertiser News North: VERNON — The Vernon Horseshoe League will start its sixth season the first week in May, and the season will continue until mid-August and then with several weeks of playoffs.

Season schedule plays on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights on a rotating schedule. Teams play one night a week and a couple of 2-night weeks. All games start around 6 p.m. in Vernon Veteran’s Memorial Park, which is located on Vernon Crossing Road at the railroad crossing.

The season will end with a picnic in September. There will be a full membership meeting for new and past members on March 15 at the Vernon Senior Center.

The center is located at Vernon municipal building; lower level, around the back, at 21 Church Street, Vernon NJ. Starting time will be at 6:30 p.m.
