Step back in time to the glamorous era of the Roaring 20’s at the annual WHS Party in the Park! Greenwood Lake was roaring in the 1920s. with its train service to New York City, steamboat ferries, and grand hotels, Greenwood Lake offered an escape for many families and the well-to-do. greenwood Lake offered a lakeside retreat for any sport celebrities, artists, Vaudeville actors, writers, and many more.

Immerse yourself in the spirit of the evening as you sip on specialty cocktails crafted by Warwick Valley Winery & Distillery and the Last Whisky Bar, and fine wines courtesy of Peck’s Wine & Spirits. Indulge in delectable catering from The Helm, while perusing an array of intriguing auction items donated by local businesses and individuals.

The Party in the Park has grown into a beloved tradition, evolving from a simple potluck picnic into an enchanting evening soiree. Don’t miss out on the fun! The Warwick LGBTQ+ Pride Celebration will kick off at the Warwick community center at approx 11 am where various activities such as music, food, games, art, and support tables will be available.

led by the Funkrust Brass Band the parade will set off @ 1:30pm  from the Community Center leading to Veterans Memorial Park Pavilion. held there will be a Pride Show from 2:30-4:30.

The Warwick LGBTQ+ Pride event will return on Sunday, June 9, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For the past decade Warwick has celebrated the LGBTQ+ community with a celebration at the Warwick Valley Community Center, and a downtown parade followed by the Pride Show — an afternoon of entertainment. The show includes local talent and can be enjoyed by all ages.

The festivities begin at 11 a.m. at the Warwick Valley Community Center, 11 Hamilton Avenue, Warwick, NY. There will be free brunch, music, art, activities, support tables, face painting, and vendors. There will also be book signings by Kayla Miller author and illustrator of the New York Times bestselling “Click” graphic novel series, and Chloe O. Davis, author of “The Queens’ English, The Dictionary for LGBTQIA+ Lingo and Colloquial Phrases.”

At 1:30 p.m. the Pride parade steps off from the Community Center, led by the Funkrust Brass Band. The route is Orchard Street, left onto Oakland Avenue and up Main Street, right onto High Street and Forester Ave, and ending at the covered pavilion at Memorial Park at approximately 2.30 p.m. The route is 1.5 miles.

There will be food and retail vendors at the park and the Pride Show music performances start at 3 p.m.

Parking is limited at the Community Center, but there is ample parking at Memorial Park to leave a vehicle there for the end of the day.

Dash down the streets of the Village of Warwick in the WHS Annual George Washington Day 5K and Fun Run, beginning and ending in Veterans Memorial Park, 29 Forester Ave. This year’s race is bigger and better, with the course certified as a 5K by the USA Track and Field Association!

Enjoy the only course through the Village, past historic landmarks and through the beautiful park. Take photos with “George and Martha Washington” and feel the camaraderie and spirit of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Registration is now open, $25 to participate, registration fee increases to $30 from July 1 to 20. The race begins promptly at 8:30 a.m.
