Warwick. Veterans Memorial Park draft master plan meeting.
Everyone is invited to the Pavilion at Veterans Memorial Park in Warwick on Wednesday, May 31 at 6 p.m. and Sunday, June 4 at noon to view and discuss the draft master plan for the park. Village of Warwick Mayor Michael Newhard and Trustee Carly Foster will give an overview of the process and plan and the public will be able to add their feedback.
The village initiated the process in May of last year and has been meeting with a representative stakeholder advisory group to come up with future plans for the park which include beautification, recreation and maintaining its natural environment.

These ongoing classes are an introduction to the practice, history and philosophy of Zen Buddhism. We’ll cover the basics of meditation posture, how to handle thoughts during meditation, basic breathing practices, and spend some time sitting in Zazen (Zen meditation), sharing some stories from the rich history of Zen, and a discussion of how this ancient practice is deeply relevant to our lives today.

Warwick Rod & Gun Club will stock approximately 400 trout in the small lake that’s part of the Baird Farm on Baird Lane in Warwick, NY. This annual event awards a prize to each participant, regardless of whether or not s/he caught a fish, which include fishing rod and reel combos, tackle boxes, lures and other outdoor recreation items.
The event is supported by many area businesses and community organizations who donate funds and prizes for the day.
