Sugar Loaf Crossing is located on the crossing of the railroad tracks over Kings Highway (near the Sugar Loaf Post Office). Concerts are Thursdays from 6:30-8:30. They are held on the lawn at Sugar Loaf Crossing and are free to the public. Concert goers are welcome to bring lawn chairs, blankets, picnic baskets, family and friends. Warwick Rod & Gun Club will stock approximately 400 trout in the small lake that’s part of the Baird Farm on Baird Lane in Warwick, NY. This annual event awards a prize to each participant, regardless of whether or not s/he caught a fish, which include fishing rod and reel combos, tackle boxes, lures and other outdoor recreation items.
The event is supported by many area businesses and community organizations who donate funds and prizes for the day.
Tickets are now available for town’s annual Senior BBQ on Aug. 19
Town of Warwick’s Annual Senior Barbeque tickets are now available. This year the barbeque will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 19 (rain date: Aug. 20) starting at 11 a.m. at Warwick Town Park on Union Corners Road. It is co-sponsored by the Warwick Valley Rotary Club and our Town of Warwick DPW. Town of Warwick residents age 55+ may get their tickets either through their local senior club or by stopping by the Supervisor’s office at Town Hall, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
