Mary’s Meals Help Mary’s Meals feed even more children! $21 feeds a child for the school year! Mary’s Meals are now providing more than 2 million children in some of the world’s poorest communities with a nutritious meal every day they attend school. Continue to Drop off NY deposit bottles and cans behind the school in the Mary’s Meal Shed! Every penny counts towards another meal served! Knights of Columbus Council 2952 also collects deposit cans and bottles in the bin next to the clergy parking on the side of the church. All of the proceeds will be donated to Mary’s Meals. It’s time to get out to party and dance!
Summerfest is coming to the PLAV Pavilion in Pine Island, NY on Sunday, July 14.
Eighteen-time Grammy winner Jimmy Sturr & His Orchestra will be performing starting at 2 p.m.
It has been quite some time since everyone has been able to get out for some fun. This will be one of the first events in the area.
The event will be held rain or shine. Bring your lawn chair and get there early to enjoy the wonderful food provided by the members of the Polish Legion of American Veterans.
There will be music throughout the afternoon including country, big band, Latin and polka. There is plenty of free parking. Tickets will be available at the door.

Warwick Police Dept. to Hold Two
Junior Police Academy Sessions This Summer
Children will have an opportunity this summer to experience the various aspects of police work in a fun and structured setting at the Warwick Police Department’s Junior Police Academy (JPA). Students ages 10 to 15 residing in the Warwick, Greenwood Lake and Florida school districts are invited to participate.
The academy is a collaborative effort between the Warwick Police Dept. and the Warwick Valley Central School District. Two sessions will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Warwick Valley High School, located at 89 Sanfordville Rd. in Warwick.
Session I will take place from July 15 through July 26, and Session II is set for August 5 through August 16. Students must be available to attend all 10 days of the program.
Led by the WPD’s School Resource Officers, the goal of this program is for children to enjoy themselves while gaining an understanding of the demands of police training and service. The JPA consists of physical training, lectures, presentations, field trips and hands‐on activities.
All children must complete a two-question essay. There is a limited capacity with a preference to first-time attendees. The cost for the program is $250 and includes two WJPA shirts, hat and water bottle.
