Fifth generation farmers Sally and Bob Scheuermann will hold their second annual largest tomato contest on Saturday, Sept. 7. The world’s largest tomato on record is seven and three quarters pounds; last year, Vernon, N.J., resident Darryl Slate won the Scheuermanns’ inaugural contest with a green tomato weighing one pound eleven ounces.
