Mar 27 | Zephyr Vocal Ensemble Audition |
Zephyr is a 16-voice, a cappella singing group which is now in the process of formation, is now holding a 2nd date of auditions to accommodate extra prospective singers. We will perform across northern NJ, and Orange and Rockland Counties, NY. Our group will perform, with superb artistry, a variety of music from an array of genres: chant, organum, classical, contemporary such as Whitacre, gospel, jazz, pop, rock, spirituals, folk, and doo-wop, among others. We'll perform without a conductor at concerts, with choreography as appropriate. We'll appear, as well, at community festivals and fairs. Performances will be fun and also profound. This is a semi-professional group with plans to go professional within the next couple of years.
If you are a strong music-reader interested to audition on Saturday, March 27th, please contact Artistic Director Cherwyn Ambuter at zephyrve@warwick.net, or (973) 862-0668. She'll send you further information, an application, and links to music for our upcoming concerts for you to listen to on the Internet to see concretely what the group is singing. We'd love to hear everyone who's a good reader; male singers are especially encouraged to audition.
